Easter Crafts

Easter is right around the corner. One of the best ways to celebrate this time of year is to make crafts that are themed to match the holiday's festivities. Many Easter crafts are fun and easy to make.

You can make a bouquet of tulips by cutting out the egg holders from the egg cartons. Clip the top edges to make points, paint them different colors, and glue them onto a pipe cleaners. These can then be put in a bud vase or glued to a background and framed. Cut a piece of either dark green felt or construction paper to form a couple of leaves and you will have a very attractive Easter craft.

You can make a fluffy bunny by using cotton balls. Use two regular size cotton balls to make a body and head of your bunny. Cut a couple of ears out of white felt and cut a small pink strip to run down the center of them. Glue the ears to the top of his head. Put a couple of eyes on him, tie a piece of ribbon or yarn around his neck, and give him a smaller puff ball as a tail. This simple bunny will have your Easter guests smiling.

You can even make an Easter themed piggy bank. Take an empty salt container and either paint it or cover it with construction paper. You can then paste bunnies you find on old Easter cards or draw some yourself to decorate the container. Use the top opening to drop coins in and with a very little bit of work, you have a bank that will be the center of conversation.
