Crafts for Kids

Arts and crafts let kids express themselves and use their imagination. No mater how much supervision is given to the activity, there will be a mess. The truth is, the messier it is the more the kids will like it. When working with very young kids be prepared and plan ahead, their attention span will not last long.

Stringing things to make a necklace is a fun activity. You can start with beads or buttons. If you want to add some color to your project, dye some macaroni and string it with the beads. The fun thing about macaroni is you can use it to make some great pictures and really see the imagination that your kids have.

Empty gallons of milk or other recycled items can be used to create some interesting projects. You don't have to spend a lot of money to have crafts for the kids to do. Birdhouses or bird feeders are fun and easy projects that kids love to make. With some planning and a little imagination you can make a skeleton for Halloween out of empty milk cartons.

By using some colored crate paper, markers, beads, and some glue you can make a crown that is fitting for any king or queen. For older kids you can make a full suite of armor right down to the breastplate with a lion on it. Arts and crafts are a great way for kids to discover who they are and express themselves. They will create some masterpieces worthy to hang on any refrigerator.
